Tina Michelle Cheng is a multimedia conceptual artist whose work offers a philosophical inquiry on being.

Through painting, sculpture, and installations, Tina creates meditative experiences by calling attention to the ordinary awe that is often overlooked in our daily lives. Her work operates as portals to consciousness — inviting viewers to pause, notice, see. It is in this space that contemplation and self-reflection can occur, enabling access to deeply embodied wisdoms.

Central to her practice is a reevaluation of our individual and collective priorities, especially considering where we place our time, energy, and attention. Recontextualizing packaging materials and other discardable byproducts of modern life with minimal interventions, Tina confronts the arbitrary nature in which we assign meaning and value to objects and materials.

A first-gen Taiwanese-American from rural Northern California now living in New York City, Tina has experienced the world through a wide range of philosophical, cultural and socio-economic lenses. These experiences inform her work and influence her to seek / share universal bridges between people and cultures.

Tina studied furniture design at DIS Copenhagen and attended Pratt Institute for postgraduate studies in Interior Design.
